#LumiaInLapland

#LumiaInLapland gathered a whole bunch of media people, mainly from Scandinavia and Eastern Europe to test either the Nokia Lumia 1020 or the Lumia 1520 under the harsh and cold condition of Lapland. They flew me in from Copenhagen to Kittila Finland, where I met up with the others at the airport. There, a driver picked us up and drove us to our huge villa, which I shared with 4 others of my Scandinavian companions, Sweden and Norway.

After settling down in our villa, we had some quick lunch and then a quick briefing of the next three days game plan. But that wasn't it, how were we going to test a phone if we didn't have one, so Nokia gave us one to keep. I chosed Nokia's new phablet, the Nokia Lumia 1520. With it's 15.2 cm, it is one of the largest phones on the Windows Phone operating system you can buy and pretty much a flagship of the range.

On the arrival day we wen't on a Snow mobile safari, driving through the landscape of Lapland while enjoying the sunset. Those beast wen't from nothing to 80 km an hour in seconds through bumpy snowy terrain. It was awesome!

After the safari we parked our snow monsters and went ice dipping, steam sauna, dinner and drinks and then straight back home, so we could sleep it out and be ready for day two!

Day 2

Day 2 was our second and last day before we had to head home the following day, so of course Nokia had planned a nice day for us, with some activities. First stop, a trip to the Husky park where we we're in for a little treat with the huskies, a sled ride which was of the hook and something I definitely had on my to do list! But as most places I get to travel to, I have to experience the sunrise or sunset and so of course I also did it here in Levi Lapland, Finland. Unfortunatly I went out 30 minutes too late and the clouds were blocking my view:-(

(Shot with a DSLR camera) The owner of the Husky park shows off his half-breed Hollywood Huskies/wolfs, which are trained and used for movies. I have to say this before you come with your own assumptions, about it's bad to hold these animals in captivity. It looked like they really had a good place here and the people that work here do know what they are doing.

The whole Husky experience was dope!

Next up was lunch at a finnish tipi thing with these two woman cooking up some food, it was delicious. I did'nt take any pictures there neither did I take any pictures on our last activity of the day, Ice Karting! Though I I filmed it with my GoPro Hero 3. I didn't bring any proper strap for it, so I used the monopod that I had with me and strapped it to my chest and hoped for the best.

Shit this was dope, the track was slippery as hell and the go-karts had very little grip. I really sucked at it, but I had so much fun, so who cares if I sucked or not!

(Shot with a DSLR camera) Thx to Nokia for bringing me out here, I had a blast!
